[AWARDS] "Ida" walczy o Independent Spirit. "Birdman" na czele nominacji

Sezon nagród ruszył na dobre. Jedna z pierwszych znaczących nagród to Independent Spirit, przyznawane produkcjom niezależnym. Na czele nominowanych "Birdman", wśród zagranicznych produkcji jest "Ida". Będzie to zapewne częsty widok w najbliższych miesiącach.

Zacznę od wydarzenia, tak istotnego dla naszej kinematografii. Nikt nie ma wątpliwości, że jest "Ida" wśród faworytów tegorocznych zmagań o najważniejsze nagrody podsumowujące filmowy rok. Nominacja do Independent Spirit to wielkie wyróżnienie dla polskiego filmu, ale to też początek drogi i dopiero pierwszy sukces. Apetyty mamy na zdecydowanie więcej. "Ida" ma wśród nominowanych znaczących konkurentów, których w większości spotka rywalizując o Oscara czy Złoty Glob. Nominacje do Independent Spirit dla filmów zagranicznych otrzymały także: szwedzki "Turysta", rosyjski "Lewiatan", kanadyjska "Mama", pochodzący z Filipin "Norte, the End of History" oraz reprezentujący Wielką Brytanię "Under the Skin" ze Scarlett Johansson.

Powróćmy jednak do głównych kategorii. Tutaj na czele nominacji znalazł się "Birdman", który rywalizuje o sześć nagród. Po pięć nominacji zdobyły "Boyhood", "Wolny strzelec" oraz "Selma". O tytuł najlepszego filmu roku powalczą wspomniane wcześniej: "Birdman", "Boyhood", "Selma" oraz "Love is Strange" i "Whiplash".

Wśród reżyserów znajdują się Danien Chazalle ("Whiplash"), Ava DuVernay ("Selma" – czarnoskóra reżyserka podbije zapewne serca w tym sezonie), Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu ("Birdman"), Richard Linklater (za reżyserowanego 12 lat "Boyhooda") oraz David Zellner ("Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter" – pokazywane na tegorocznym American Film Festival).

Bardzo ciekawie wygląda kategoria doceniająca najlepsze scenariusze. Brakuje tutaj w większości produkcji nominowanych w kategorii Najlepszy Film i okazuje się, że obie dziedziny nie idą w parze. O nagrodę za scenariusz zabiegają: Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski za "Wielkie oczy" w reżyserii Tima Burtona, J.C. Chandor za "A Most Violent Year", Dan Gilroy za "Wolnego strzelca", ku uciesze wielu fanów Jim Jarmusch za "Tylko kochankowie przeżyją" oraz Ira Sachs & Mauricio Zacharias za "Love is Strange".

Wśród najlepszych aktorek nominacje powędrowały do m.in. Marion Cotillard za postać Polki w "Imigrantce", Rinko Kikuchi za "Kumiko", Julianne Moore za "Still Alice" oraz Tilda Swinton za rolę w filmie Jarmuscha. Wśród najlepszych aktorów nominacje otrzymali m.in.: Jake Gyllenhaal za "Wolnego strzelca", Michael Keaton za "Birdmana" oraz David Oyelowo za postać Martina Luthera Kinga w "Selma". Wśród aktorek drugoplanowych nie ma Agaty Kuleszy, a wśród nominowanych jest egzotyczny akcent i nominacja dla mało znanej Andrea Suarez Paz za rolę w filmie "Stand Clear of the Closing Doors". Jej konkurentki to m.in. Patricia Arquette, Jessica Chastain, Emma Stone. Wśród panów nominacje dla m.in. Ethana Hawke'a, Edwarda Nortona i J.K. Simpsona.

Finał 30. edycji Independent Spirit Awards odbędzie się 21 lutego 2015, dzień przed przyznaniem Oscarów.

Warto też pamiętać, że to dopiero przedsmak wielkich wydarzeń i znaczących nagród. Tutaj w grze nie są jeszcze wielkie produkcje z Hollywood.
