Amerykańska Akademia Filmowa zaprezentowała listę 134 tytułów, które kandydują do nominacji i Oscara w kategorii Pełnometrażowy Film Dokumentalny. Jest wśród nich "Powstanie Warszawskie". To także świetny przewodnik po najlepszych dokumentach ostatnich miesięcy.
Dobra wiadomość jest taka, że wiele z nich znamy z polskich kin lub odbywających się u nas festiwali. Kilka pokazów jeszcze przed nami, m.in. na Camerimage. Jednak największe emocje będą nam towarzyszyły w związku z "Powstaniem Warszawskim", które dostosowane do warunków amerykańskich (film został przemontowany i zmieniony przez Pasikowskiego - pisałem o tym) dostał niedawno dobrą ocenę od Los Angeles Times i znalazł się na poniższej liście. Kolejny polski oscarowy akcent w tym roku!
Przyznać jednak trzeba, że liczy ona grubo ponad 100 tytułów i dlatego długa jeszcze droga do wymarzonej dalszej kwalifikacji. W grudniu poznamy 15 filmów, które znajdą się na oscarowej shortliście. Filmy dokumentalne mogą też kwalifikować się do Oscarów w innych kategoriach, także dla Najlepszego Filmu - niestety takie wydarzenie nigdy jeszcze nie miało miejsca. Nominacje do Oscara poznamy 15 stycznia 2015 roku.
Pełna lista filmów kandydujących poniżej. Wiele z nich nie spełniło jeszcze wymogów regulaminowych i nie miało swoich pokazów w Los Angeles i Nowym Jorku.
