Przyznano Creative Arts Emmys. To
przedsmak głównych wydarzeń związanych z najważniejszymi nagrodami
telewizyjnymi. Na razie Emmy przyznano za osiągnięcia techniczne, specjalne i
wiele innych. To ważna część nagród Emmy, bo docenia się twórców pracujących na
drugim planie – także aktorskim.
Na tym etapie nagród Emmy
najwięcej nagród zdobyła "Gra o tron" z ośmioma statuetkami. I po raz
kolejny HBO wygrywa, bo do tej produkcji dodać należy też cztery statuetki dla
"Bessie", a do tego nagrody dla "Figurantki" i dokumentu
"The Jinx". Pięć nagród za techniczną stronę seriali otrzymali twórcy
"American Horror Story: Freak Show".
Kilka ciekawych kategorii i
laureatów. Za casting w produkcji limitowanej doceniono "Olive
Kitteridge", w dramacie wygrała "Gra o tron" a w serialu
"Figurantka". Ceremonia wręczenia Oscarów otrzymała nagrodę za pracę
ekipy technicznej. Wśród oryginalnych kompozycji muzycznych wygrała praca do
serialu "Inside Amy Schumer", ale nominowany za temat przewodni do
filmu "Dom grozy" Abel Korzeniowski musiał uznać wyższość Dustinem
O’Halloranem za "Transparent". Jego muzyka przegrała też z "House
od Cards" w kategorii najlepszych kompozycji do seriali dramatycznych. Najlepszy specjalny program
rozrywkowy to "The Saturday Night Live 40th Anniversary Special". Kontrowersyjny
"Going Clear: Scientology and ahe Prison of Belief" okazał się
najlepszy wśród specjalnych filmów dokumentalnych, a "The Jinx: The Life
and Deaths of Robert Durst" to najlepszy serial dokumentalny. Specjalne
wyróżnienie otrzymał też dokument "Citizenfour". Doceniono też
krótkometrażowy program dokumentalny, który jest trybutem dla Mela Brooksa, ale
mistrz wśród gościnnych występów nie zdobył nagrody.
Podczas Creative Arts Emmys
wręczono też pierwsze nagrody aktorskie. Za gościnne występy otrzymali Emmy: Joan
Cusack za "Shameless", Margo Martindale za "The Americans",
Reg. E. Cathey za "House of Cards" oraz Bradley Whitford za "Transparent".
Główne Emmy przyznane zostaną już za tydzień 20 września.
