"Demon" doceniony na festiwalu fantastyki

Dobiega końca 48. Sitges Film Festival, jedno z najważniejszych wydarzeń skupiających fanów kina fantastycznego w Europie i na świecie. Wśród nagrodzonych znalazł się w tym roku "Demon".

Film Marcina Wrony otrzymał nagrodę za zdjęcia, których autorem jest Paweł Flis. Od piątku "Demon" prezentowany jest w polskich kinach, a wyróżnienie na hiszpańskim festiwalu to kolejne znaczące zagraniczne osiągnięcie tego znakomitego filmu.

Tegoroczny festiwal wygrał thriller "The Invitation" w reżyserii Karyn Kusama, którego akcja rozgrywa się w czasie imprezy wymykającej się w pewnym momencie spod kontroli. W głównej roli wystąpił tutaj Logan Marshall-Green. Nagrodę za reżyserię otrzymał S. Craig Zhaler za swój debiut "Bone Tomahawk", horror-western o kanibalach. W jednej z ról występuje Kurt Russell. Produkcje z USA zdobyły pięć spośród najważniejszych nagród tego festiwalu. Wśród wyróżnionych filmów znalazły się m.in. "Zupełnie nowy testament" oraz "Dar".

Zainteresowanie widzów tym festiwalem wzrosło o 39 procent w porównaniu z rokiem poprzednim. Na wydarzenie to sprzedano ponad 76 tysięcy biletów.
