Nominacje do swoich nagród ogłosiła organizacja skupiająca montażystów - American Cinema Editors. Ich nagrody noszą nazwę ACE Eddie Awards, a laureatów poznamy 27 stycznia. Wśród nominowanych znalazło się wiele cenionych tytułów.

W gronie nominowanych filmów są oczywiście faworyci sezonu nagród: „La La Land”, „Manchester by the Sea” i „Moonlight”. Cieszy jednak także obecność filmów „Nowy początek”, „Deadpool” czy „Lobster”.
