Polański i Kieślowski na starcie w HBO Max. Ale uczta!

27 maja na amerykańskim rynku debiutuje HBO Max. Warner Media opublikował listę ponad 600 filmów, które znaleźć tam będzie można w dniu startu nowej platformy streamingowej. HBO Max to będzie uczta dla wielbicieli klasyki filmowej z całego świata. Wśród propozycji są m.in. „Nóż w wodzie” Romana Polańskiego oraz trylogia „Trzy kolory” Krzysztofa Kieślowskiego, a do tego wiele z najważniejszych filmów w historii kina. Niestety HBO Max na starcie nie będzie dostępne w Polsce.

HBO Max 27 maja debiutuje w USA i nie wiadomo, czy w ogóle pojawi się w Polsce. W USA dostęp do tej platformy kosztować ma 14,99 dolara. Amerykanom można bardzo pozazdrościć biblioteki filmowej, jaka dostępna będzie na HBO Max. W dużej części będzie to klasyka kina i odbiorca takich treści zapewne będzie zmartwiony. W wyścigu po nowości HBO Max raczej nie rzuca na kolana i dlatego pojawienie się tej platformy może nieco rozczarować. Siłą nowego gracza na rynku VOD mogą być seriale, a będą tam prezentowani m.in. „Przyjaciele”.

Należący do AT&T serwis HBO Max prezentował będzie przede wszystkim produkcje HBO, WarnerMedia, New Line, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, TBS czy TNT. Jeśli coś przykuwa moją uwagę, to imponujący zestaw klasyki filmowej, która prezentowana będzie na HBO Max. To tutaj pojawią się propozycje firmowane przez Criterion Collection, czyli „wydawniczego giganta klasyki filmowej” oraz filmy ze Studia Ghibli.

Na pewno cieszy obecność na liście polskich produkcji. Są tutaj „Nóż w wodzie” Romana Polańskiego i Trylogia „Trzy kolory” Krzysztofa Kieślowskiego. I tylko pobieżny rzut oka na listę premierowych tytułów i zdecydowanie padam na kolana przed taką biblioteką klasyki. Żadna inna platforma wPolsce nie ma takiego zestawu. Wiele z nich to pozycje w Polsce trudno dostępne lub wręcz niemożliwe do zdobycia oficjalnie. HBO Max będzie prezentowało m.in. dokonania Charliego Chaplina, Federico Felliniego, Alfreda Hitchcocka, Woody’ego Allena, Akiry Kurosawy, Stanleya Kubricka, słynne serie – „Obcy”, „Szklana pułapka”, „Godzilla”, „Szczęki”, „Bond” i wiele innych, są filmy z różnych zakątków świata, jest „Czas apokalipsy” i „Obywatel Kane”, filmy Ingmara Bergmana, „Złodzieje rowerów”, „Bitwa o Algier”, „Piknik pod Wiszącą Skałą” i wiele takich gigantycznych klasyków, kino Godarda i innych mistrzów francuskiej Nowej Fali, są klasyczne westerny i kino gangsterskie, wiele filmów przedwojennych (jak „Dziwolągi”, „Haxan” czy „Nanuk z północy”) jest oczywiście wiele młodszych i sympatycznych propozycji, ale też pokaźna kolekcja filmów nieco bardziej zapomnianych. Uczta!

Nie wiadomo, jaka przyszłość czeka HBO Max w Polsce. Czy w ogóle się pojawi?

Aktualizacja: Według dobrze poinformowanych źródeł odpowiednikiem HBO Max w Polsce jest... HBO GO, które posiada oryginalne treści oraz te licencjonowane. I to właśnie ma tłumaczyć nieobecność nowej platformy w naszym kraju. W USA działało co prawda HBO GO, ale nie o takim charakterze, jak to w Polsce i stąd pomysł na amerykańskie HBO Max. Nie ma planów wdrożenia HBO Max w Polsce.
