W przededniu rozdania Oscarów, tradycyjnie przyznawane są wyróżnienia dla najgorszych produkcji i twórców w Hollywood (a czasami z Polski). W tym roku główne nagrody zdobył film „Diana the Musical”, ale sporo laurów zebrał też „Kosmiczny mecz: Nowa era”.
„Diana the Musical” to najgorszy film 2021 roku (brawo Netflix!), a dodatkowo wyróżnienie otrzymała Jeanna de Waal za najgorszą rolę oraz Judy Kaye za rolę drugoplanową. Film dodatkowo doceniono za najgorszą reżyserię i scenariusz. W sumie musicalowa historia Diany zdobyła pięć nagród. LeBron James, gwiazda filmu „Kosmiczny mecz: Nowa era”, otrzymał wyróżnienia za najgorszą rolę męską oraz duet z animowanymi postaciami. Trzecia nagroda dla tego filmu doceniła najgorszy remake/rip-off/sequel.
Złotych Malin doczekały się też dwie wielkie gwiazdy kina. Jared Leto doceniony został za rolę drugoplanową w „Domu Gucci”. Bruce Willis otrzymał własną kategorię, a wśród ośmiu jego ról doceniono tą, którą zagrał w filmie „Cosmic Sin” (mój dawny idol, dziś sięgnął filmowego dna).
Organizatorzy tych nagród przyznają też wyróżnienie, dla gwiazdy, która po wielu złych filmach odbudowała swoją karierę. Nagrodę Odkupienie otrzymał w tym roku Will Smith za występ w „King Richard: Zwycięska rodzina”. Pretendentami do tej nagrody byli też Jamie Dornan za „Belfast” i Nicolas Cage za „Pig”. Jutro w nocy przekonamy się, czy Will Smith będzie miał w jednym roku Oscara i Malinę.
