Emmy 2022. „Sukcesja” i „Ted Lasso” najlepsze

Po raz 74. przyznano nagrody Emmy, najważniejsze wyróżnienia dla produkcji tworzonych z myślą o małym ekranie. Emmy to ciągle ważna nagroda, a wśród tegorocznych laureatów znalazły się m.in. „Sukcesja” – uznana za najlepszy serial dramatyczny, „Ted Lasso” triumfujący wśród komedii, oraz takie gwiazdy jak m.in. Zendaya czy Jason Sudeikis. Najwięcej nagród Emmy zdobył serial „Biały lotos”.

„Ted Lasso” już drugi rok z rzędu wygrywa kategorię dedykowaną serialom komediowym. Kolejny też raz wygrała „Sukcesja” wśród seriali dramatycznych. Pośród seriali limitowanych triumfował „Biały lotos”.

Gwiazda „Squid Game” Lee Jung-jae został pierwszym azjatyckim aktorem, który wygrał nagrodę Emmy za główną rolę w dramacie. Zendaya doceniona za główną rolę w serialu „Euforia” stała się najmłodszą w historii dwukrotną zdobywczynią aktorskiej nagrody Emmy w kategorii dramatycznej. Jean Smart za „Hacks” i Jason Sudeikis triumfowali w aktorskich kategoriach komediowych. Za główną rolę w limitowanym serialu „The Dropout”, nagrodzono Amandę Seyfried.  Za główną rolę męską w serialu limitowanym nagrodzono Michaela Keatona za „Dopesick”. Nagrody drugoplanowe za role w produkcjach limitowanych otrzymali Jennifer Coolidge i Murray Bartlett występujący w „Białym lotosie”.

Za role drugoplanowe w serialach dramatycznych nagrody otrzymali Matthew Macfadyen za „Sukcesję” i Julia Garner za „Ozark”. Najlepsze role drugoplanowe w serialach komediowych zagrali Sheryl Lee Ralph za „Abbott Elementary” (to dopiero druga w historii czarna aktorka nagrodzona w tej kategorii) oraz Brett Goldstein za „Teda Lasso” (drugi rok z rzędu).

Generalnie tegoroczne nagrody Emmy obeszły się bez niespodzianek. Trzy programy z największą liczbą nominacji — „Sukcesja”, „Ted Lasso” i „Biały lotos” — zdobyły najwyższe nagrody w swoich kategoriach. Najwięcej nagród Emmy z finałowego rozdania oraz dwóch poprzednich części zdobył serial „Biały lotos”, który otrzymał ich aż 10. Po sześć nagród zdobyły „Euforia” i „Squid Game”. Pojedynek platform i producentów wygrał HBO/HBO Max z 38 nagrodami, a Netflix otrzymał ich 26. Zauważono też, że bardzo lubiany serial „Better Call Soul” ponownie nie zdobył żadnej nagrody, a to przecież produkcja z sześcioma sezonami i 46 nominacjami na koncie.

Oglądalność nagród Emmy w telewizji NBC była bardzo niska, a to za sprawą dużego wydarzenia sportowego, które transmitowano w konkurencyjnej stacji w tym samym czasie. Rozdanie nagród Emmy oglądało jedynie 5,92 mln widzów. Oznacza to spadek o 18 procent, w porównaniu z rokiem poprzednim, ale to o 41 procent gorszy wynik od tego osiągniętego 4 lata temu.
