„Top Gun: Maverick” i "Io" wygrywają NBR

„Top Gun: Maverick” uznany został za najlepszy film roku według National Board of Review. W gronie pięciu najlepszych filmów międzynarodowych znalazł się „Io” Jerzego Skolimowskiego.

Nagrodę dla najlepszego aktora otrzymał Colin Farrell za „Duchy Inisherin” i jest to kolejne w ostatnich dniach jego zwycięstwo. W gronie najlepszych aktorem wygrała Michelle Yeoh za rolę w filmie „Wszystko wszędzie naraz”. Za role drugoplanowe doceniono Brendana Gleesona grającego w „Duchach Inisherin” oraz Janelle Monáe za rolę w „Glass Onion”.

Steven Spielberg zdobył nagrodę za reżyserię „Fabelmanów”. Trzecią nagrodę „Duchy Inisherin” zdobyły za scenariusz oryginalny autorstwa Martina McDonagha. Najlepszy scenariusz adaptowany to „Na zachodzie bez zmian”. Debiut reżyserski to kolejny triumf Charlotte Wells. Wśród pełnometrażowych animacji wygrał film „Marcel the Shell With Shoes On”, wśród dokumentów „Sr.” a wśród filmów międzynarodowych „Blisko” Lucasa Dhonta.

National Board of Review przygotowało też listy najlepszych filmów roku oraz najlepszych filmów międzynarodowych, niezależnych i dokumentalnych.

W ostatnich 30 latach, tylko kilkukrotnie zdobywca nagrody dla najlepszego filmu roku od NBR, nie zdobywał potem nominacji do Oscara w najważniejszej kategorii. W ostatnich latach NBR za najlepszy film roku uznali „Irlandczyka”, „Green Book” czy „Mad Max: Na drodze gniewu”.
