Nominowany do Oscara film „Śnieżne bractwo” nie miał sobie równych podczas tegorocznych nagród Hiszpańskiej Akademii Filmowej – Goya. Wyróżnienia te wręczono po raz 38, a „Śnieżne bractwo” zdobyło aż 12 nagród.
„Śnieżne bractwo” to produkcja Netflix, znakomita filmowa robota, oparta na faktach historia grupy urugwajskich sportowców, którzy po katastrofie lotniczej utknęli w niedostępnych Andach. Film zdobył aż 12 nagród (wyrównany został rekord liczby zdobytych nagród Goya przez jeden film), w tym tytuł najlepszego filmu roku i za reżyserię oraz wszystkie znaczące nagrody w kategoriach technicznych/artystycznych. Inne produkcje musiały się zadowolić głównie nagrodami aktorskimi. Starczyło jednak nagród dla „20 000 gatunków pszczół” oraz dla animacji „Pies i robot”. Za najlepszy film zagraniczny uznano „Anatomię upadku” Justine Triet. Międzynarodową nagrodę Goya za dorobek życia otrzymała Sigourney Weaver, hiszpańską honorową Goya zdobył Juan Mariné.
