Nagrody Grammy w kategoriach filmowych

W nocy z niedzieli na poniedziałek rozdano najważniejsze nagrody w przemyśle muzycznym. Oto słów kilka o laureatach nagród Grammy w kategoriach filmowych i telewizyjnych oraz pokrewnych. Publikuję też pełną listę laureatów we wszystkich kategoriach.

Prawdą jest, że Grammy za muzykę filmową nie uchodzą za specjalnie prestiżowe. Od lat pojawiają się w nominacjach główni faworyci sezonu, przeważnie nominowani i zwycięzcy Oscarów. Podobnie było i w tym roku.

W kategorii doceniającej kompilacyjne ścieżki dźwiękowe zwyciężyła płyta "Kraina lodu" i szkoda, że zabrakło tutaj "Strażników galaktyki". Także filmowa piosenka z Grammy to "Let It Go" z "Krainy lodu" (można było obstawiać w ciemno). Za to cieszy nagroda za najlepszą oryginalną muzykę instrumentalną. Tutaj wygrał Alexandre Desplat za "Grand Budapest Hotel" i może to też być sygnał oscarowy dla tego twórcy, który chwilę wcześniej zdobył BAFTA za muzykę do tego filmu. W kategorii Best Music Film nagrodę Grammy otrzymała płyta "20 Feet From Stardom" – to zeszłoroczny laureat Oscara dla filmu dokumentalnego. Najlepsze instrumentalne kompozycje nie przyniosły niespodzianki, a nagrodę zdobył niemal coroczny bywalec Grammy John Williams, tym razem doceniony za "Złodziejkę książek".

A co się wydarzyło poza kategoriami filmowymi, ale z filmami mającymi coś wspólnego?

W kategorii Best Pop Solo Performance i Best Music Video zwyciężył Pharrell Williams za "Happy", a to przecież utwór skomponowany do filmu "Minionki rozrabiają". Jack Black jako członek grupy Tenacious D otrzymał Grammy za płytę "The Last In Line" w kategorii Best Metal Performance. Joan Rivers pośmiertnie otrzymała Grammy w kategorii Best Spoken Word Album. Najlepszy album komediowy to Grammy dla "Weird Al" Yankovica za "Mandatory Fun".
