„Boże Ciało” Jana Komasy otrzymało nominację do nagrody Goya, wyróżnienia przyznawanego przez Hiszpańską Akademię Filmową. Polska produkcja otrzymała nominację w kategorii doceniającej najlepsze filmy europejskie. Nominacje do Goya zdominował film „Adu”.
Nominacje w kategorii Najlepszy Film Europejski otrzymały także: „Oficer i szpieg” Romana Polańskiego, „Jeszcze jest czas” Viggo Mortensena i „Ojciec” Floriana Zellera. Premiery kinowe tych dwóch ostatnich spodziewane są niedługo po otwarciu kin.
Tegoroczne nominacje do nagród Goya, odpowiednika hiszpańskich Oscarów, zdominował dramat zatytułowany „Adu” wyreżyserowany został przez Salvadora Calvo, który w sumie otrzymał ich aż 14. Ta dostępna na Netfliksie produkcja opowiada trzy powiązane ze sobą historie, których akcja rozgrywa się w Afryce. O tytuł najlepszego hiszpańskiego filmu 2020 roku zabiegają także: „Ane Is Missing”, „La boda de Rosa”, „The Girls”, „The People Upstairs”.
Nagrody Goya przyznane zostaną po raz 35. Gala wręczenia nagród odbyć ma się 6 marca, a poprowadzi ją z Malagi, urodzony w tym mieście, Antonio Banderas.
