„Crip Camp” najlepszym dokumentem

[SEZON NAGRÓD 2020/2021] „Obóz godności: Rewolucja w życiu niepełnosprawnych” (Crip Camp) wygrał 36. edycję International Documentary Association. Wśród docenionych produkcji dokumentalnych znalazły się też m.in. „Time”, „The Earth Is Blue as an Orange”, „Dick Johnson is Dead” i „My Octopus Teacher”.

„Obóz godności: Rewolucja w życiu niepełnosprawnych” zdobył w sumie trzy nagrody, nie tylko dla najlepszego dokumentu, ale też dwa inne wyróżnienia. Historia opowiedziana w filmie jest budująca. Na letnim obozie dla niepełnosprawnych nastolatków tuż obok Woodstock powstał ruch rewolucyjny, który na zawsze zmienił amerykańską rzeczywistość.

Dwie nagrody powędrowały do twórców „Dick Johnson is Dead”. O tytuł najlepszego filmu dokumentalnego rywalizowały także: „Collective”, „Gunda”, „The Reason I Jump”, „Softie”, „The Truffle Hunters”, „MLK / FBI”, „Reunited”, „Time” i „Witamy w Czeczenii”.
