Znakomicie zapowiada się program 77. Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Filmowego w Cannes. Na liście kandydatów do Złotej Palmy są nazwiska wielu wybitnych twórców, jest też polska koprodukcja, wiele się dzieje w innych sekcjach.
Festiwal w Cannes ponownie zachwycił programem. O Złotą Palmę podczas 77. edycji powalczą nowe filmy takich twórców, jak m.in.: Ali Abbasi, Andrea Arnold, Jacques Audiard, Yorgos Lanthimos, Francis Ford Coppola (z szansą na trzecią Złotą Palmę), Paul Schrader, Paolo Sorrentino, Sean Baker, Kirill Serebrennikov i David Cronenberg.
To wybrane tylko grono twórców, z którymi zmierzy się Magnus von Horn z polską koprodukcją “The Girl With the Needle”. Nie mniej ciekawie jest też w innych sekcjach. Te filmy przez najbliższe ponad 1,5 roku będą nas ekscytować w kinach.
Na razie o Złotą Palmę zabiega 19 filmów, ale program festiwalu nie jest jeszcze zamknięty. Przewodniczącą jury Konkursu Głównego będzie Greta Gerwig, twórczyni "Lady Bird" i "Barbie". Xavier Dolan stanie na czele sekcji Un Certain Regard. Honorową Złotą Palmę otrzyma George Lucas, twórca "Gwiezdnych wojen". 77. Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmowy w Cannes odbędzie się w dniach od 14 do 25 maja 2024 roku.
