Satyra wojenna zatytułowana „Atropia” w reżyserii Hailey Gates zdobyła główną nagrodę Sundance Film Festival. Jedną z nagród zdobyła polska koprodukcja zatytułowana „The Things You Kill”.
Nagrodę Publiczności w kategorii Dramat USA otrzymał film "Twinless" w reżyserii Jamesa Sweeneya opowiadający o dwóch młodych mężczyznach (Dylan O'Brien i Sweeney), którzy spotykają się w grupie wsparcia dla osób pogrążonych w żałobie i nawiązują nietypową relację braterską. „DJ Ahmet” wygrał Audience Award: World Cinema Dramatic, a także zdobył Specjalną Nagrodę Jury za Kreatywną Wizję.
Współprodukowany przez polską kinematografię film „The Things You Kill” zdobył nagrodę za reżyserię Alireza Khatamiego. Pełnometrażowy film fabularny powstał w koprodukcji Polski z Turcją, Francją i Kanadą. Owładnięty podejrzaną śmiercią swojej schorowanej matki, Ali, profesor uniwersytetu, zmusza swojego tajemniczego ogrodnika do dokonania bezlitosnej zemsty. Na jaw wychodzą dawno skrywane rodzinne tajemnice, policja depcze mu po piętach, a jego sumienie nie daje mu spokoju.
