Emmy 2016. „Gra o tron” bezkonkurencyjna


Rozdano Emmy, najważniejsze wyróżnienia w świecie telewizji. „Gra o tron” pobiła rekord najczęściej nagradzanego serialu w historii tych nagród. W sumie od początku emisji produkcja ta otrzymał już 38 nagród i o jedną wyścignął komediowy serial „Frasier”. Tylko w tym roku „Gra o tron” otrzymała 12 nagród Emmy. HBO zwyciężyło w dwóch głównych kategoriach 68. edycji Emmy.

Produkcja HBO otrzymała w tym roku 24 nominacje, a obroniła połowę z nich, pokonując w bezpośredniej rywalizacji „House of Cards”, „Downton Abbey” i „Homeland”. Świetnie w tym roku, podczas finałowego wieczoru, poradził sobie także komediowy serial HBO zatytułowany „Figurantka”, który uznany został najlepszą komediową produkcją telewizyjną, a grająca w nim Julia Louis-Dreyfus otrzymała nagrodę dla najlepszej aktorki.

Wśród tegorocznych laureatów znaleźli się jeszcze m.in.: Susanne Bier za reżyserię „The Night Manager”, gospodarz najlepszego show John Olivier, twórcy udanego „The People v O.J Simpson” z pięcioma nagrodami Emmy w kategoriach poświęconych miniserialom (doceniono aktorów - Courtney B. Vance, Sarah Paulson, Sterling K. Brown), Maggie Smith na pożegnanie  „Downton Abbey”, twórcy specjalnego filmu z udziałem Sherlocka Holmesa.

Wiele osób zapewne ucieszy się z nagrody dla Ramiego Maleka za główną rolę dramatyczną w serialu „Mr. Robot”. Inni docenieni aktorzy to m.in.: Tatiana Maslany, Ben Mendelsohn, Jeffrey Tambor, Kate McKinnon, Regina King.

W sumie podczas finałowego wieczoru po sześć nagród Emmy otrzymały stacje FX i HBO, a trzy nagrody powędrowały do Netflixa. Wraz z przyznanymi przed tygodniem Creative Arts Emmys najwięcej nagród dla HBO, które triumfowało w 22 kategoriach. Tegoroczną galę wręczenia nagród poprowadził Jimmy Kimmel.
