BBC Culture ogłosiło listę 100 filmów komediowych wszech czasów. Na szczycie zestawienia „Pół żartem, pół serio”, ale w środku pojawiło się sporo niespodzianek. Pokusiłem się też o wybór z tego zestawienia swoich 10 najlepszych komedii.
W głosowaniu wzięło udział 253 krytyków z 52 krajów całego
świata (118 kobiet i 135 mężczyzn). Każdy z nich miał za zadanie przedstawienie
swojej dziesiątki najlepszych komedii. BBC nie precyzowało, jaki film uznaje za
komedię i dała dowolną rękę głosującym. Na czele zestawienia „Pół żartem, pół
serio” Billy’ego Wildera i nie jest to wielkie zaskoczenie. Cała lista
przedstawia się bardzo ciekawie i jest zdecydowanie zróżnicowana. Niektóre
propozycje zaskakują, pojawia się sporo filmowych „perełek”. Króluje klasyka
kina, a najwyżej ocenionym filmem z XXI wieku jest „Legenda telewizji”, zaś
najnowszą komedią na liście jest „Toni Erdmann”. Na setnym miejscu znalazła się
komedia niedawno zmarłego Jerry’ego Lewisa oraz film Martina Scorsese z jego
udziałem.

Nie mogę sobie odmówić, by z listy tej wybrać swoją 10
ulubionych komedii, co jest oczywiście bardzo karkołomnym zadaniem. Lista ma
charakter niezobowiązujący i brakuje w nim głównie polskich produkcji. I
jeszcze jedno. Nie przekonuje mnie kwalifikowanie do tego zestawu „Pulp Fiction”
więc u mnie tego filmu nie będzie.
