Ogłoszono nominacje do IDA Documentary Awards, nagród doceniających najlepsze filmy dokumentalne, a przyznawane przez The International Documentary Association (IDA). Nominacje ogłoszono w 14 kategoriach. Laureatów poznamy 5 grudnia.
Do tegorocznej edycji IDA Documentary zgłoszono 700 filmów z 77 krajów. Nominację i laureatów wskażą jurorzy z 40 krajów. Listy te ciekawie odzwierciedlają sytuację w światowym filmie dokumentalnym. Wiele z nich zapewne zabiegać będzie o Oscary.
W gronie najlepszych pełnometrażowych filmów dokumentalnych są m.in. produkcje znane z polskich festiwali, a wkrótce z kinowej dystrybucji. Takim przykładem jest „Agent szczęścia”, w kinach ciągle można zobaczyć „Dahomej”, na pokazach specjalnych można zobaczyć „Nie chcemy innej ziemi”, na Netfliksie jest „Ibelin”, na MDAG pokazywano „Sugarcane” i „Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat”.
