„Spider-Man Uniwersum” w kategorii pełnometrażowych filmów
animowanych i „Mirai” wśród niezależnych filmów animowanych otrzymały główne
tegoroczne Nagrody Annie. To najważniejsze za oceanem nagrody przyznawane
filmom i produkcjom animowanym. Oba filmy mają nominacje do Oscara, ale dziś to
opowieść o Spider-Manie jest faworytem tej nagrody.
„Spider-Man Uniwersum” zdobył w sumie siedem Annie Awards i
wygrał we wszystkich kategoriach, w których był nominowany. Film doceniono m.in.
za reżyserię, scenariusz, animację postaci, projekt postaci i montaż. Animowany
Człowiek-pająk pokonał m.in. dwie duże produkcje Disneya, „Iniemamocnych 2”
oraz „Ralph Demolka w Internecie”. Jednak to Disney zdobył najwięcej w tym roku
nagród Annie, bo wygrał w aż ośmiu kategoriach. Dwie z nich otrzymał film pełen
animacji, czyli „Mary Poppins powraca”. Sporo nagród zdobył też Netflix, który
triumfował w czterech kategoriach. Najlepsza animacja krótkometrażowa to „Weekends”,
nominowana także do Oscara w tym roku. Nagrody aktorskie, za prace w dubbingu
otrzymali Will Arnett za „BoJack Horesman” oraz Bryan Cranston za „Wyspę psów”.
