Nominacje Gildii Reżyserów. Zhao blisko Oscara

Nomadland

[SEZON NAGRÓD FILMOWYCH 2020/2021] Gildia Reżyserów Filmowych ogłosiła nominacje do swoich dorocznych nagród. Wśród nominowanych są dwie kobiety Chloé Zhao i Emerald Fennell, jest też twórca azjatyckiego pochodzenia Lee Isaac Chung, a listę uzupełniają David Fincher i Aaron Sorkin.

Chloé Zhao chyba nic i nikt nie jest w stanie odebrać Oscara za reżyserię. Będzie ona dopiero drugą kobietą docenioną tą nagrodą, a pierwszą pochodzenia azjatyckiego. Zhao nominowano za "Nomadland", a Emerald Fennell doceniono za "Obiecującą. Młodą. Kobietę.". Lee Isaac Chung zdobył nominację za "Minari", David Fincher za "Manka", a Aaron Sorkin za "Proces siódemki z Chicago".

Nominacje Gildii Reżyserów zazwyczaj bardzo celnie typuje laureatów późniejszych Oscarów. Do zeszłorocznej edycji, aż sześciokrotnie obie organizacje nagradzały tych samych twórców (Alfonso Cuaron za „Romę” Guillermo del Toro za “The Shape of Water”, Damien Chazelle za “La La Land” i Alejandro G. Iñárritu za “The Revenant” i “Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)”. Przed rokiem jednak sytuacja miała inny przebieg, nagrodę Gildii zdobył Sam Mendes za „1917”, a Oscara otrzymał Joon-ho Bong za „Parasite”.

Nagrody Gildii Reżyserów Amerykańskich przyznane zostaną po raz 73, a ceremonia odbędzie się 10 kwietnia 2021.
