Ogłoszono nominacje do kolejnej
edycji nagród filmowych i telewizyjnych przyznawanych przez MTV i widzów tej
stacji. Ma to wyróżnienie wieloletnią tradycję i bardzo ciekawie ocenia
wydarzenia dziejące się w amerykańskiej popkulturze, przemycając też znaczące
wydarzenia spoza tej dziedziny kultury (w tym roku kilka dokumentów, jak „Free
Solo”, „RBG” i „Jutro albo pojutrze”).
Najwięcej nominacji zdobyły: „Gra
o tron”, „Avengers: Koniec gry” i znakomity dokument „RBG”. Wszystkie te
produkcje otrzymały po cztery nominacje. Laureaci nagród znani będą 17 czerwca.
MTV do swoich nagród corocznie
dodaje jakieś nowe kategorie i zmiany, które odpowiadają sytuacji dziejącej się
w szeroko rozumianej kulturze obrazkowej. W tym roku nowe kategorie to: Reality
Royalty, Most Meme-able Moment i bardzo fajna, dedykowana głównie dokumentalnym
bohaterom Best Real-Life Hero.
Zresztą wprowadzenie do MTV
nagród dla dokumentów, to świetne posunięcie, a w tym roku nominacje otrzymały
także znane z naszych dużych i małych ekranów (kinowych, festiwalowych i
telewizyjnych): „McQueen”, „Jutro albo pojutrze”, „RBG” i telewizyjny „At the
Heart of Gold: Inside the USA Gymnastics Scandal”.
Mimo, że „Gra o tron” się jeszcze
nie skończyła, a z odcinka na odcinek odbiór finałowego sezonu jest coraz
gorszy, serial ten zdobył cztery nominacje. To będzie problem, bowiem może być
to spora telewizyjna porażka w tym roku.
