Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards – nominacje

Free Solo
[SEZON NAGRÓD 2018/2019] The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) i Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA) ogłosiły nominacje do swoich nagród w kategoriach dotyczących produkcji dokumentalnych. Wiele tutaj jest produkcji znanych z polskich kin i przede wszystkim z internetowych serwisów streamingowych. Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards rozdane zostaną po raz trzeci.

Najwięcej nominacji w tym roku otrzymał dokument „Free Solo” w reżyserii Jimmy’ego China i Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, który rywalizuje o sześć nagród i są to m.in. kategorie: Najlepszy Dokument, Najlepsza Reżyseria, Najlepszy Sportowy Dokument, Najlepsze Zdjęcia. „Minding the Gap” i „Wild Wild Country” zdobyły po pięć nominacji. „Dark Money”, „Hitler’s Hollywood” i „Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” otrzymały po cztery nominacje. W gronie najlepszych dokumentów znalazły się też m.in.: „Three Identical Strangers” i „Hal”. Oba te filmy zostaną niedługo pokazane na American Film Festival we Wrocławiu. W gronie tegorocznych nominowanych do Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards jest sporo znanych już produkcji dokumentalnych a przede wszystkim sporo wskazówek, po które filmy należy sięgnąć.
