„Zwierzogród” otrzymał 11 nominacji, a „Kubo i dwie struny”
ma tych nominacji 10. O tytuł najlepszego pełnometrażowego filmu animowanego
rywalizują także: „Gdzie jest Dory”, „Kung Fu Panda 3”, „Vaiana”. Studio Disney
zdominowało nominacje zdobywając ich aż 38. W gronie najlepszych
pełnometrażowych produkcji niezależnych (głównie zagranicznych) znalazły się m.in.
„Nazywam się Cukinia” (nominacja także za scenariusz) oraz „The Red Turtle”.
