81 krajów zgłosiło swoich
kandydatów do Oscara w kategorii Najlepszy Film Nieanglojęzyczny. Polską
kinematografię reprezentuje "11 minut" Jerzego Skolimowskiego.
81 krajów to nie jest wynik
rekordowy. Po raz pierwszy swojego kandydata wyznaczył Paragwaj. Wśród
pierwszych faworytów do tej nagrody znajdują się między innymi:
"Mustang" z Francji, "Labyrinth of Lies" z Niemiec,
"Syn Szawła" z Węgier, "Islandzka opowieść" z Islandii,
"Viva" z Irlandii, "Zupełnie nowy testament" z Belgii. Silnymi
kandydatami są też reprezentanci takich krajów, jak: Gwatemala, Chile, Szwecja,
Czechy. Wśród słynnych reżyserów, których filmy ubiegają się o Oscara są m.in.:
Pablo Trapero, Jaco Van Dormael, Majid Majidi, Nikita Michałkow, Roy Andersson,
Hou Hsiao-hsien. Niestety na dzień dzisiejszy "11 minut"
Skolimowskiego nie jest postrzegane jako poważny kandydat do nominacji, ale
wiele się może jeszcze w tej kwestii zmienić.
Wybór kandydatów w tej kategorii
będzie kilkuetapowy. Na początku stycznia poznamy 9 nieanglojęzycznych filmów,
które stoczą ostateczny pojedynek o uzyskanie jednej z pięciu nominacji. Te
ogłoszone zostaną 14 stycznia 2016 roku, a 28 lutego czeka nas wielki oscarowy
finał. Tegorocznym laureatem Oscara w kategorii Film Nieanglojęzyczny jest
"Ida" Pawła Pawlikowskiego.
