Po raz 42. wręczono Annie Awards, nagrody dla najlepszych
produkcji animowanych w Hollywood. I choć wiele osób stawiało na "Lego:
Przygodę", to nagrodę otrzymał film "Jak wytresować smoka 2".
"Jak wytresować smoka 2" nie zebrał ani tak
dobrych recenzji, ani zapowiadającej imponującej kasy jak pierwsza część.
Wydawało się więc, że sequel nie sięgnie po najwyższe laury wśród
pełnometrażowych animacji, tym bardziej, że faworytem do niedawna był film
"Lego: Przygoda". Przegrana podczas Złotych Globów i brak nominacji
do Oscara to jednak dość przykre niespodzianki dla najpopularniejszej animacji
2014 roku. "Jak wytresować smoka 2" zdobył w sumie sześć nagród
Annie. W telewizji zwyciężył serial "Simpsonowie", którego w USA
emitowany był 26. sezon. Dla Homera i spółki to pierwsza wygrana od 2004 roku.
Nagrodzone animacje w filmie kinowym najlepiej wypadły w
"Na skraju jutra", a "Lego: Przygoda" obroniło nagrodę za
scenariusz.
