„Creed” i „Empire” zdobyły najwięcej nominacji do NAACP Image Awards. To nagrody przyznawane twórcom o innym niż biały kolorze skóry. Wśród kategorii znajdują się te poświęcone kinu, telewizji, muzyce, literaturze.
