Jak co roku sekcja klasyki
filmowej na festiwalu w Cannes jest bardzo bogata. W gronie prezentowanych
filmów znajdzie się między innymi odrestaurowana wersja „Kanału” w reżyserii
Andrzeja Wajdy.
Sekcja Cannes Classics to w tym
roku wiele wybitnych prezentacji. Na specjalnym nocnym pokazie film „Lśnienie”
osobiście przedstawi Alfonso Cuaron, świętowana będzie 50. rocznica premiery „Swobodnego
jeźdźca”, w której weźmie udział Peter Fonda. Widzowie obejrzą trzy filmy Luisa
Bunuela, będzie kino Liny Wertmuller i Milosa Formana. Wydarzeniem będzie
prezentacja pierwszego japońskiego filmu w kolorze, pojawią się dokumenty o
kinie i jego historii.
Program wygląda bardzo ciekawie.
Dlatego cieszy szczególnie obecność w nim filmu „Kanał” w reżyserii Andrzeja
Wajdy. Organizatorzy podkreślają, że będzie to
odrestaurowana w 4K wersja filmu, nad którą pracowali Andrzeja Wajda i Jerzy
Wójcik.

Les Nuls will be screened at Cannes Classics au Cinéma de la Plage upon the
occasion of the 4K restoration of the film for its 25th anniversary with Alain
Chabat, Chantal Lauby and Dominique Farrugia in attendance.

restoration by Studiocanal and TF1 Studio . 4K scanning 16bits from the
original negative 35mm on Lasergraphics director. The pre-calibration was done
in a projection room equipped by a 4k projector 4k Christie Laser by Pascal
Bousquet and additional work of filtering, dusting was done to compensate the
imperfection due to the age of the film. Optical illusion composited on DI on
Flame to remain close to the quality of the original negative. Calibration
validated by Laurent Dailland, director of photography. Original digital sound
was used without modification. Work of remastering done by VDM Laboratory.
