The International Film Music Critics Assn., organizacja skupiająca krytyków specjalizujących się w ocenianiu muzyki filmowej, po raz 14 ogłosiła nominacje do swoich nagród. Po pięć nominacji otrzymali Michael Giacchino i Justin Hurwitz, a jedną mniej zdobył nasz rodak Abel Korzeniowski.
Giacchino został nominowany za pracę do filmów „Doktor
Strange”, „Zwierzogród” ale też za najnowszego „Star Treka”. Justin Hurwitz
zdobył wszystkie nominacje za „La La Land”. Korzeniowski nominowano za trzy
różne projekty. Najważniejszą z nominacji otrzymał nasz kompozytor za muzykę do
„Zwierząt nocy”, a do tego doceniono go za muzykę do serialu „Penny Dreadful” i
retrospekcyjny kompilacyjny album „Early Works”. Korzeniowski nagrodę od
krytyków otrzymał w 2013 roku za „Romeo & Juliet”.
Wśród
innych nominowanych filmów za muzykę znalazły się m.in.: “Elle”, “Arrival”,
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, “Swiss Army Man”, “Moonlight”.
